Codes (Sega Genesis)

Level select: Go to the sound test in options and play the following sounds in order: 19, 65, 09, 17 (you'll hear a ring chime). Press start with soundtest still highlighted and you'll return to the title screen. Hold A and push start to enter the Stage select menu.

Debug mode: Enter stage select and play the following sounds in order in the sound test section: 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, 04 (another ring chime if done correctly). To enable debug mode select your stage while holding A and continue to hold A until the stage loads.

Debug controls:
B - Enters/Exits debug state
A - Cycle through placeable objects
C - Places object

Start with all Chaos Emeralds: In either stage select or the main options menu, play the following sounds in order: 04, 01, 02, 06 (the theme that plays when you obtain a Chaos Emerald will play)

Level Select (When Locked-On to Sonic & Knuckles): On the title screen press Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right (ring sound will play). Hold A and press start to enter stage select.

Debug mode (when locked-on to Sonic & Knuckles): Once in stage select go down to the sound test section and play these sounds in this order: 01, 09, 09, 04, 01, 00, 01, 08 (ring sound will confirm). To enable debug mode select your stage while holding A and continue to hold A until the stage loads. Controls for debug mode are the same as listed above.

Start with all Chaos Emeralds (when locked-on to Sonic & Knuckles): Enter the stage select menu and play the following sounds in order: 01, 06, 07, 07, 07, 02, 01, 06 (the Chaos Emerald theme will play)

Codes (Sonic Origins)

Level select: On the title screen, once Sonic and Tails have appeared in the emblem press press up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, right (you'll hear the ring sound). Starting the game will take you immediately into the stage select menu.

Once stage select has been enabled, the codes for Debug Mode and starting with all 7 Chaos Emeralds are activated by the same methods listed above for the Sega Genesis version of the game.
